Philips Hue in Qatar
About Philips Hue
Philips Hue is the smart lighting system that started the category. It launched in October 2012, sold exclusively through Apple Stores at first, and was marketed as the first lighting system you could control from a phone. It is made by Signify, which uses the Philips brand under licence from Royal Philips.
What makes Hue different from most smart bulbs is the Hue Bridge. It runs on Zigbee rather than WiFi, and the Bridge gives you longer range, faster response and control of far more lights than Bluetooth allows. Since 2019 Hue bulbs also include Bluetooth, so you can start without a Bridge and add one later when you outgrow it. Hue works with the Hue app, Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple Home.
What we stock from Philips Hue
We carry a small, focused Philips Hue selection rather than the full Hue catalogue: currently five products, in light strips and rope lighting. If you need Hue bulbs, a Bridge, or a specific accessory we do not list, send us the product and our team will confirm whether we can source it. For a wider smart lighting range in stock now, our Wink, Yeelight and Xiaomi ranges cover most of the same jobs.
Why buy Philips Hue from Lighting Souq
Our Philips Hue products are sourced through authorised channels. Lighting Souq is certified under Qatar's Theqa program, the Ministry-backed authentication mark for verified online businesses.
If a Philips Hue product arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, contact us within 24 hours of delivery and we will arrange a replacement, repair or refund at no cost to you. The applicable warranty is shown on each product page.
If you need a Hue product we do not stock, send us the model. For project and bulk orders we source beyond our listed range and will confirm availability and timing before you commit.
Our own fleet reaches most Qatar addresses in as fast as 3 hours from order confirmation. We also ship to more than 40 countries, with GCC orders arriving in 2 to 4 business days.

Philips Hue questions, answered
Yes. Our Philips Hue stock is sourced through authorised channels, and Lighting Souq is certified under Qatar's Theqa program, the Ministry-backed authentication mark that verifies a business is registered and compliant with Qatari e-commerce regulation.
Not to start. Since 2019 Hue bulbs include Bluetooth, so you can control a small number of lights directly from the Hue Bluetooth app. The Bridge uses Zigbee and gives you longer range, faster response, control of many more lights, remote access from outside the home, and the full feature set including outdoor lights and entertainment sync. Most people start without one and add it when they outgrow Bluetooth.
Hue is the smart lighting line, and both come from Signify under the Philips brand licence. Philips is the wider lighting range of lamps and fittings, and Philips Hue is the connected system with its own app and Bridge. We stock both.
Through Alexa or Google Home, yes: you can control Hue alongside Wink, Yeelight or Xiaomi devices by voice and in the same routines. What does not work is adding a non-Hue bulb to the Hue Bridge, because it is a closed ecosystem. If you are planning a mixed setup, tell our team what you already have and we will confirm what works together.
Often, yes. We currently carry a small Hue selection, and for project and bulk orders we source beyond our listed range. Send us the model and our team will confirm availability and timing.
Yes. We ship to more than 40 countries. GCC orders typically arrive in 2 to 4 business days, and other destinations in 7 to 10 business days including handling. You will see whether we ship to your country at checkout.
