These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Lighting Souq website, operated by Go Green International Trading W.L.L. (“Lighting Souq”, “we”, “us”), and any purchase you make through it. Please read them carefully, as they affect your rights and obligations. By using our site, registering an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Shipping & Delivery Policy, and our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy.

3.1 Basis of Use

The Lighting Souq website is provided to you free of charge for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms may change from time to time; your continued use of the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

3.2 Eligibility and Registration

You must be 18 years or older to register an account or place an order. You must ensure that the details you provide on registration, or at any other time, are accurate and complete. We may decline a registration, or carry out reasonable checks to verify your identity, and we may refuse service where these conditions are not met.

3.3 Your Account and Password

When you register you will create a password. You are responsible for keeping it confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe someone else knows your password or has accessed your account, notify us immediately. If we reasonably believe there has been a breach of security or misuse of the site, we may require you to reset your password or may suspend the account while we investigate.

3.4 Our Products Are Genuine — Reseller & Brand Disclosure

Lighting Souq is an authorised reseller of Philips, OSRAM, LEDVANCE, and other third-party brands listed on our site — we are not the manufacturer of these products. Separately, Vettam, Wink, and Glint are our own product lines, manufactured to our specifications; for these, Lighting Souq is the brand owner. Product descriptions, specifications, and images are based on manufacturer or supplier documentation, are provided for representation, and may be updated without prior notice as manufacturer information changes.

3.5 Acceptable Use

When using our site, you agree that you will not:

• Gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or interfere with the site, its networks, or another user's experience;
• Post or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, misleading, or offensive, or that infringes anyone's intellectual-property or privacy rights;
• Transmit advertising, junk mail, chain letters, or spam, or distribute viruses or other harmful technology;
• Impersonate another person, harvest other users' information, or manipulate pricing or reviews;
• Use contact information obtained through a transaction to solicit sales elsewhere.

We may refuse to post, or remove, any material you submit, and you must not attempt to re-post material we have removed. You are responsible for any losses we reasonably incur as a result of your misuse of the site.

3.6 Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including text, images, logos, and product descriptions — is owned by or licensed to Lighting Souq and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property rights. You may view and print content for personal, non-commercial use, keeping all proprietary notices intact. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, distribute, or use our content commercially without our written permission. Trademarks of Philips, OSRAM, LEDVANCE, and other brands remain the property of their respective owners and are used with authorisation to describe genuine products we sell. No licence to use any trademark is granted to you under these Terms.

3.7 Descriptions and Prices

• Accuracy — we take care to describe and show products as accurately as possible, but images are for representation and actual products may vary slightly. Descriptions are based on manufacturer literature and may change without notice.
• Currency — prices are displayed in Qatari Riyal (QAR) at checkout. Prices shown in other currencies elsewhere on the site are estimates for convenience and settle in QAR.
• Pricing errors — if a product is mispriced, we are not obliged to supply it at the stated price. We will contact you with the correct price before dispatch, and you may then proceed or cancel for a full refund of anything already paid.
• Promotions — any discount, sale, or promotional price complies with applicable Qatari commercial pricing regulations, including any required municipal approvals.
• Taxes — Qatar does not currently apply VAT to retail goods. Should this change, applicable taxes will be shown at checkout.
• Delivery charge — prices do not include delivery, which depends on the method you choose and is added at checkout.

3.8 Placing an Order and Acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy from us. We will send an acknowledgement of the products you have ordered; a contract is formed only when we send you an order-confirmation email or SMS accepting your order. Up until that point we may decline to supply a product, and if you have already paid we will refund you in full. Once the contract is formed, orders can be amended or cancelled only before dispatch — see our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy.

3.9 Product Availability

All products are subject to availability. If an item is temporarily out of stock, we will show an estimated restock or lead time on the product page (typically 4–6 weeks for items awaiting resupply). In the interests of all customers, we may limit the quantity available per customer, per household, or per order, and will let you know if such a limit applies to your order.

3.10 Payment Methods

We accept payment via MyFatoorah (covering Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and regional debit methods including NAPS), and PayPal, plus Pay-Later instalment options where available. Payment is taken in line with our order process, and all card and payment data is processed directly by these providers over encrypted, PCI DSS-compliant connections — Lighting Souq does not store your full card details. If we cancel an order after payment has been processed, the amount will be reversed to the original payment method; no cash disbursement is made.

3.11 Shipping, Returns, Warranty & Cancellations

Delivery timelines and costs are set out in our Shipping & Delivery Policy; returns, refunds, and cancellations in our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy; and warranty coverage in our Warranty & Service Policy. Each of these forms part of these Terms.

3.12 Free Gifts and Promotional Items

Free gifts or promotional items given with a purchase may be dispatched separately, and delivery times may vary. If you return the associated product, you must also return any free or promotional item received as part of that offer; we may charge a reasonable amount for a free item that is not returned.

3.13 Customer Reviews

We welcome genuine customer reviews. A review must reflect an actual purchase and must not contain offensive, defamatory, or misleading content. We may remove reviews that breach these standards or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent or incentivised without proper disclosure.

3.14 Third-Party Links

Our site may link to third-party websites, such as manufacturer pages, for your convenience. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

3.15 Availability of the Site

We aim to offer a fault-free service, but we may occasionally restrict access to carry out repairs, maintenance, or improvements. If you encounter a fault, please report it to info@lightingsouq.com and we will try to correct it as soon as we reasonably can.

3.16 Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by Qatari law, Lighting Souq is not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — arising from your use of the site or the products purchased. Because we sell products for personal use, our responsibility does not extend to business losses.

3.17 Circumstances Beyond Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including supply-chain disruptions, customs delays, natural events, or carrier service interruptions.

3.18 Suspension and Closure of Accounts

We may suspend or close your account at our reasonable discretion, including where you breach these Terms, use the site unlawfully or fraudulently, or engage in bulk-order or inventory abuse (for example, ordering for commercial resale, placing repeated orders for the same product, or using invalid details). Any amount paid for a cancelled order will be refunded.

3.19 General

You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer our rights to another business where your rights will not be affected. If we choose not to enforce a right on one occasion, we may still enforce it later. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

3.20 Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Qatar — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your own country of residence.
